The Happy Fisherman (Cottage 6) is perched atop a path of stone steps and it consists of an open, studio-style space of about 300 square feet with a high ceiling and two stained glass skylights. There is a cute kitchen area with dining table, a Queen bed, and a Futon. There is also a bathroom with a shower, a loft area, and a side deck.

The cottages are behind our house, on a dead-end, residential street, across from the Niantic River, so the atmosphere is peaceful. The cottages are a cozy space with an authentic "cottage" feel, but it also have the modern necessities: tv, wireless access, and air conditioning.
Guests in our cottages have access to the boat launch in our cul-de-sac, perfect for kayaks, canoes, and other small crafts.
We have owned the cottages since 2004, we live on-site and we are available to address any problems via phone or text.
I love our location because it is quiet and residential, but close to tons of great activities for kids and cultural and outdoor attractions for adults. It is a really vibrant area but without the pricetag of Old Lyme or Mystic, which are both really easy to get to. The beach and quaint downtown Niantic, with its movie theatre and ice cream parlor, is a ten minute drive away. Harkness Memorial State Park is stunning. Eugene O'Neill Theatre, Florence Griswold Museum, Nature's Art Dinosaur Park, Niantic Kids' Museum, Mystic Aquarium, and Flanders' Fish Market are a few of my favorite things. It is impossible to be bored here in the summer!
The cottage has parking for one vehicle, and possibly two if we have room (ask when you book). The New London train station is maybe ten-fifteen minutes away. Lyft also operates in the area.
Our TV provider is a streaming service which includes a wide range of channels and networks.
