This remarkable home is waterfront with a mountain view located just 15 minutes from North Conway. It is located on 3 wooded acres on Pea Porridge Pond with the sounds of loons calling in the background. It is quite spacious making it ideal for multi-generational vacations or for one or two family vacations. It has its own private dock with 3 kayaks and a canoe plus a swim float. It has an open layout living area/kitchen with a screened in porch, deck, and outdoor seating around the fire pit. In addition to its spacious layout, it offers all the modern conveniences including central air, two tvs, cable, internet, washer and dryer, and two car garage with direct access to the house. It is well suited for groups of kids and adults of 10 or groups of 8 adults but not for large events.
The house is located in the beautiful Mount Washington Valley with countless outdoor activities. In the summer, you can go hiking, river kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking and more. You are about 27 minutes from Storyland and Attitash Mountain resort with its amazing zip line and alpine slide. You are also just 15 minutes from King Pine (a fun and affordable place for kids to learn to ski). In the fall, you are in the perfect location for stunning fall foliage drives and hikes. In winter, you can go downhill and cross country skiing, skating, ice climbing, snowmobiling and other have fun with other great winter activities. In the winter, once the pond is fully frozen with snow cover, you can go snowshoeing or cross country skiing right out your back door!
The house inside is professionally cleaned, well-appointed, and roomy with a first floor and a ground floor. The first floor of this home has 10 foot high ceilings, an open concept design with a large living area with 48 inch flat screen tv, wood fireplace, cozy couch (with picture window providing views of the water and mountains), dining area, and fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and breakfast bar. On the first floor you also have two bedrooms (with queen beds) on opposite sides of the house. One bedroom has an en suite bath with shower and tub and walk-in closet. The second bedroom has direct access to the screened in porch. On the first floor living area you also have a half bath off the common area and an extended mudroom for jackets, shoes, and sports equipment.
On the ground floor below, you have an entertainment area designed with family fun in mind including a TV with a wii game system, ping pong table, and card table and chairs for playing cards and board games. On this ground floor, you will also find a full bathroom and a long bunk room. This room has two distinct sleeping areas (with separate entrances) with a twin over full bed in each area. The bunk room can be one long bedroom or two different bedrooms separated by a wood door and closet area.
The home is surrounded by trees with the sounds of loons, frogs, in the background. Lastly, there are 6 Adirondack chairs at the back of the house where you can look out at the swim area and the mountains beyond.
As an added bonus, in addition to being able to reach us with any questions or concerns about the house, we have family living in the house next door in case the guests are in need of immediate assistance.
