All of Winter Harbor is within walking distance of this quiet coastal retreat, beautifully situated with views of Henry Cove, the surrounding gardens, and nearby hills blanketed in evergreens. In this prime spot near the ocean, you'll be across the street from the Bar Harbor Ferry and bus service to Acadia National Park, and an easy stroll from a well-stocked supermarket, two excellent restaurants, a fantastic bakery, a lobster roll cart, several coffee shops, art galleries, museums, souvenir shops, and a farmers market on Thursdays.
This home is a place to bask in the beauty of the outdoors, whether you're napping in the double hammock to the sounds of the coast, grilling and dining alfresco at the picnic table, or picking seasonal blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and herbs from the gardens in the backyard. There are two kayaks to take out on the water and three adult-size bikes to help you get out and enjoy Winter Harbor's small-town atmosphere.
This two-story home is a lovely blend of rustic charm and contemporary comfort, with all-new modern furnishings throughout. Thoughtful touches include central heating, air conditioning in the living room and upstairs studio, Spectrum cable with approximately 125 channels, high-speed WiFi, and a supply of wood provided for the fireplace. Spend your mornings reading the newspaper in the sunroom, preparing organic Darthia Farm eggs in the kitchen, and sitting down for breakfast in the dining room.
