Set on a hilltop overlooking 15 private acres, with the Green River (known for trout fishing) running through the property, this charming four-bedroom house overlooks a 20- by 40-foot pool, beautifully nestled in complete privacy with lovely views of the surroundings.
Each of the four large bedrooms in this air-conditioned house has its own ensuite bathroom. There is also a powder room in the common area and another full bath in the finished basement. Three of the bedrooms have queen-sized beds, while the fourth has two single beds (which can be converted to a king). There are two twin beds in the basement, which also has a sitting area with a large-screen TV and a ping pong table.
For people on a working vacation, one of the bedrooms has an office nook and another has a desk, and fiber optic internet service distributes a strong Wi-Fi signal throughout the house. One of the two ground-floor bedrooms has French doors that open onto a private porch with beautiful views. A formal dining room, living room, den, and large kitchen round out the ground floor, and there are two laundry rooms – one on each floor.
The fully equipped kitchen has almost new appliances, a table that seats 6, and a center island with 3 bar stools. The house is 6 miles from Great Barrington and 6 miles from Guido’s – likely the best supermarket you’ll ever go to. Tanglewood, Shakespeare & Co The Mount (Edith Wharton’s house), and Jacob’s Pillow are all within easy reach.
Beautiful flower and vegetable gardens surround the house, and there’s a trampoline out back for the kids. The pool has a lovely flagstone patio with a large seating area and a built-in firepit.
