Less than 2 hrs drive from NYC, this private log cabin is nestled in its own little nature oasis hidden behind a lush canopy of greenery. You’ll get a sense of being in the middle of the woods while also being in close proximity to the bustling towns of Woodstock, Kingston, and Village of Saugerties. The location is also convenient for participants in the HITS events with 2 spacious driveways that can accommodate large vehicles.
The space
Inside, the cabin exudes rustic charm, with its warm wooden interior and mid century modern decor; it has been recently renovated to add modern touches. The front door opens to the kitchen and dining area, fully stocked with the basic necessities to accommodate home cooks. Enjoy the cozy sitting area around the wood stove or climb the stairs to the lofted living room where you can find a cabinet full of board games, perfect for families or friends seeking quality time together. Plus, with its high-speed internet, you can stay connected to work or stream movies for a night in. The porch in the back overlooks the half acre backyard of flowering trees and is set up with a dining table and hammock chairs, a charcoal grill and grilling utensils are available for guests to use.
*Please note: while we have put much thought into providing a peaceful ambiance, there is a freight train track located behind the backyard with passing trains during the day and night. Some days/nights you’ll rarely hear the train rumble by, while others you’ll notice it more frequently - there really is no set schedule or pattern. I have always found the passing train to be a charming element, but it might not be for everyone. There are white noise machines in each room, although I personally have never needed to use it.

2 large driveways on both sides of the cabin, can accommodate up to 4 cars.

- These fees ensure fair compensation for our cleaners or any subsequent guests affected by delays. If you need a late checkout, please inquire in advance. Depending on upcoming bookings, we might accommodate you, though a fee might still apply.
- Extra Guests: If more guests than permitted are found at the property, we reserve the right to deny entry based on policies. Extra guests will be treated as trespassers. An additional fee of $50/night per extra guest may apply, or we might request that you vacate the property.
